“It’s hard to formulate definitive sentences about abstract paintings. It’s particularly hard to formulate them when doing an abstract painting for a show about ICE’s fascist takeover of the Twin Cities, -a place I love dearly. So rather than trying to shoehorn in some art museum guided tour-style statement about it, let me just say this instead: I made a painting while meditating on how much I fucking despise ICE, MAGA, police, and all of the racist-ass fascist sociopaths who played a role in creating/ supporting this white nationalist terror campaign.
All power to the people of the Twin Cities, -especially those who put their bodies and freedom on the line to protect their friends family and neighbors.”
